Seachtain na Gaeilge

Bhí an-spórt againn i rith Seachtain na Gaeilge. Bhí Taispeántas Rince sa halla ar an Déardaoin. Bhí na rinceoirí gléasta go h-álainn agus bhí an damhsa ar fheabhas ar fad. Bhí Trath na gCéist ar siúl ar an gCéadaoin agus bhí ceol ar an intercom gach maidin. Bhaineamar go léir taitneamh as…..Gaeilge go deo !

Well done to both choirs who performed at the Córfhéile on March 7th. The Junior Choir was conducted by Ms. Morrissey and the Senior Choir by Ms. Keating. Both choirs sang beautifully on the night and they did themselves and their school proud. Congratulations to everybody involved. Check out our Twitter account for short video clips of each choir

We have been busy knitting lots of other things also.

Advent Assembly

We had a Senior School assembly this morning to mark the start of Advent. The 6th classes explained the Advent wreath to us and they also placed some Old Testament symbols on the Jesse Tree. Ms. Hume presented the monthly award for homework and she officially launched our food appeal for the St.Vincent de Paul Society.

Investigating Cookies

We are scientists in Senior Infants.

We investigated Cookies! Yummy!

We tested the cookies to see what happens when we put them into water. We looked at them through a magnifying glass too.

We tasted them at the end- there are no photos of us eating them because we gobbled them up too quickly!

The Bakery

The Senior Infants went on a visit to the Corner Bakery in Terenure. We saw lots of lovely cakes and buns.

Cara and Kate came to visit us in school. They showed us how to put on icing and decorate the cupcakes! Delicious! The cupcakes tasted so good.

Autumn in Senior Infants

We have been busy in Senior Infants since we started back in September. We are learning about Autumn at the moment and we all collected leaves and made some beautiful pictures.

Roald Dahl

Ms. Carney’s 3rd class have been finding out about the author Roald Dahl. We have read many of his books and we made a flip book of our favourite characters.

We also made some large Roald Dahl characters
