Our New Junior Infants

A Great Start !

Our school  reopened on August 31st. We were delighted to welcome all our pupils back and we were particularly delighted to welcome all our new Junior Infants. Everybody has settled in to school very quickly and already there is a fabulous standard of work on display throughout the school.

On Thursday September 14th we had our first assembly led by the girls from 2nd class. They reminded us about including everybody in our games and playing nicely in the yard. Ms. Hume welcomed all our new pupils and reminded us about trying our best at all times. She also said we could have a blue day on Friday in honour of the Dublin Team playing in Croke Park on Sunday!

Active Week 2017

We have had a very busy Active Week here in Presentation Primary School. We had dancing and circuits everyday in yard. We had a very successful (and dry!) sports day on Tuesday.

On Wednesday we had our medal ceremony and we were delighted to show off our newly awarded Active Flag

Lots of classes went shopping with our Lidl vouchers and bought fruit to make smoothies.

We had a fantastic dance workshop with Kim and on Friday we walked a mile with a smile. We all had a chance to have a “bounce” on the bouncy castles !

Building Sheds!

Ms. Donnelly’s girls had great fun this week building sheds.

We used lego to build  sheds for the tractors on the farm.

We worked together and had great fun.

Green News

We were delighted to hear recently that we have been awarded our 4th green flag for Travel. RTE News2day visited our school on Tuesday May 16th to film us and to interview some members of the Green Committee.

Glenroe Farm 2017

The Senior Infants had a great time at Glenroe Farm. We met lots of animals. We fed the goats lots of grass and we got to pet the lambs too. We had a picnic outside and we had lots of fun in the huge playground.

Congratulations Georgina!

We are so proud of our 3rd class pupil Georgina who recently competed at the European I-Karate Championships in Strasbourg. At our Easter Assembly Georgina demonstrated her incredible skills for the whole school. We were delighted that her Mum and her brother were present also. Ms. Hume read a letter from President  Michael D Higgins wishing her well.

Over last weekend Georgina traveled to Strasbourg  and was amazing ! She walked away with 2 Gold medals for her individual events (Kata and Kumite) and silver for her team Kata.

Well done Georgina ! We are all incredibly proud of you and wish you continued success.

Happy Easter from the Senior Infants

The Senior Infants have been busy making Easter Baskets, painting Easter Eggs and writing about the Easter Bunny.

We love our Mums!

Ms. Donnelly’s class drew some beautiful portraits of their Mums!

What a great job, they drew in lots of details.

We love our Mums!

Seachtain na Gaeilge

Bhí an-spórt againn i rith Seachtain na Gaeilge. Bhí Taispeántas Rince sa halla ar an Déardaoin. Bhí na rinceoirí gléasta go h-álainn agus bhí an damhsa ar fheabhas ar fad. Bhí Trath na gCéist ar siúl ar an gCéadaoin agus bhí ceol ar an intercom gach maidin. Bhaineamar go léir taitneamh as…..Gaeilge go deo !
