Hugh Lane Gallery
The 3rd classes recently visited the Hugh Lane Gallery. We had a guided tour of the galley and we viewed paintings by a number of different artists. We loved Sean Scully’s work and the beautiful stained glass work of Harry Clarke.
We also saw the Frances Bacon studio…what a messy room !
After the gallery we went to the Garden Of Remembrance and enjoyed our lunch in the beautiful sunshine. We saw the statue of the Children of Lir
We have been inspired by our gallery visit to paint in the style of Sean Scully. We painted on paper and on canvas
