Hallowe’en is in full swing in Presentation today. There are so many fantastic costumes in the playground; a lot of them are home made this year. Can you spot Cruella and her Dalmatians?? We are enjoying playing Hallowe’en games in the classroom too. Have a fantastic midterm break everyone and stay safe over Hallowe’en 🙂

Presentation Primary School is currently working towards achieving Active Schools Flag status. The Active School Flag was launched by the Department of Education and is a non-competitive initiative that encourages schools to evaluate their current provision of P.E. and extracurricular sports to children and to examine whether they can be improved upon. We want to raise awareness about the importance of enjoyment, play and keeping fit and the Active Flags initiative helps us to do this.
Preparation for obtaining the Flag has already started with representatives from each class  from 3rd-6th coming together with teachers to form a committee that is looking at new ways of to encourage all pupils to be more active. Check out the pictures from our committee meeting and first Active Flag lunch time activity which shows all students taking part in “Fit Friday”.
Look out for our Fitness Police!!

We have been busy in Senior Infants since we started back in September. We are learning about Autumn at the moment and we all collected leaves and made some beautiful pictures.
The girls in 3rd class have made a great start to the new school year. We have been reading about pirates and we did lots of art and written work on this theme
We have been learning all about the history of our school. We made some nuns from clay
We made special plaques to celebrate our school’s 150th anniversary
We made crests about ourselves and wrote acrostic poems
