Proclamation Day
Today was Proclamation day and we had a special assembly in the hall. There was one pupil from each class on the stage. We heard about children during the Rising , women during the Rising and the signatories of the proclamation.
We then went outside for the flag ceremony. We heard all about the tricolour. The proclamation was read out and our new proclamation written by 5th and 6th class was also read out. Click below to read our full proclamation
Our caretaker Raz then raised our commemorative flag and we sang Amhrán na bhFiann
Every pupil received a special commemorative pin from Ms Hume
Córfhéile 2016
We were delighted to partake in the Córfheile on Wednesday March 3rd. The 3rd classes, the 4th classes and Ms. Keatings Senior Choir all performed. The singing was beautiful on the night and the girls did themselves and their school proud. We had, as always, a large number of parents present who were incredibly supportive of each group. The teachers were thrilled and delighted with how the girls sang. Each group received a glowing report from the moltóir who was particularly impressed with the high standard of singing. Well done to all involved !
