Slán Mrs. Griffin

On June 30th Mrs. Angela Griffin will retire from Presentation Primary School after 40 years of hard work, loyalty and dedication to our school. Angela was our Deputy Principal for 8 years.
Angela’s enthusiasm for teaching and learning is infectious and she has the same energy for her work today as she did when she began. Angela’s generosity, positivity, good humour, vibrancy and work ethic has been an inspiration to us all and she is held in the highest esteem by the whole school community
We will miss her friendship, her kindness, her sense of fun and her get up and go approach to life.
We wish Angela all the health and happiness to enjoy the next phase of her life and we know that she won’t waste a minute of the time ahead!
Slán a chara agus fad saol duit.

Arts and Crafts Awards

There will be a special assembly this Friday to present our inaugural JJ Macken and Nora Brew awards. JJ Macken was our artist in residence here in Presentation Primary who sadly passed away last November. JJ contributed hugely to the profile of Art in the school and some of his stunning paintings are on permanent display throughout the building. Nora Brew, a former teacher in St. Joseph’s BNS, was an enormously talented craftswomen who gave generously of her time to the school. She donated many beautifully hand crafted pieces to us.

This Friday there will be one winner in each category from 6th class. The awards will be presented by JJ’s wife Áine and Nora’s son Maurice.

Best of luck to all the 6th classes…looking forward to hearing the winners on Friday. Keep up the great art work and craft endeavours girls !

We wish sixth class every happiness as they move on to secondary school. Well done girls. It’s been a pleasure knowing you.  Just a small snapshot of our busy year in the video below

Sports Day 2015

Croke Park Final

We set off in glorious sunshine this morning to our final in Croke Park against Scoil Malóga. We cheered on our team with great gusto and enthusiasm. Unfortunately  our opposition scored almost immediately and despite our best efforts, they continued to dominate the scoring. Our girls fought bravely and never once gave up, displaying great determination and grit. Well done to our fantastic squad of players.. you did us all proud !

Donation to Crumlin Hospital

Well done to our First Holy Communicants who donated €1000  to Crumlin Hospital in memory of our past pupil Ruth Gallen who sadly died in 1992. The girls wrote a lovely letter to the hospital explaining why they were making this very generous donation. Click below to read this letter

The girls received a medal from the hospital thanking them for their kindness and generosity
