Happy Christmas from Ms.Hume

Well done to all of our girls for their hard work this term. It has been a very busy time with lots of activities and events. Indeed it can be very hard at times to keep up to date with the school blog as there are new posts almost daily. Cycling,Camogie, football, Intel Mini Scientist, Choir, knitting,….. to name but a few!  Thank you too to those girls who have been so kind and helpful to us this term especially those who organised the bake sale in aid of the Philippines.

Thank you to all of our teachers and staff who make Presentation such a happy learning environment.

Thank you to the Parents’ Association for all of their work on behalf of the school and to  all of our parents for their continued support of our work.

I hope that you all have a very Happy and peaceful Christmas and enjoy time spent with family and friends. We look forward to seeing  all of the girls in 2014

Choir News

Last Friday December 13th, the choir took part in the performance of Benjamin Britten’s cantata “St. Nicholas” in St. Joseph’s Church. The boys from St. Joseph’s and the adult choir took part also. This year is the centenary of Benjamin Britten. We were the ” gallery choir ” and Andrew was our conductor. Killian Farrell was the main conductor. St Cecilia’s orchestra accompanied us. We had great fun learning the pieces with Ms. Keating. The night was a great success.

Christmas has definitely arrived in Presentation Primary Terenure. The corridors are filled with fabulous displays of reindeer, snowmen, polar bears and of course Santa himself. There are several cribs, Saint Nick’s express,a singing Santa and an enormous Christmas tree. Many classes have produced some wonderful seasonal art and craft which can be seen throughout the school.
