Catch a Dream!

We are learning about Native American Indians. We have made Dream Catchers. We also are also creating interesting leaf prints on clay!

UP THE DUBS !

We had a “Blue Day” in school today in honour of our county GAA team. We all wore Dublin jerseys, hats or blue coloured clothes. We wish the team the best of luck on Sunday especially to our past pupil Eoghan O’Gara. We hope the team bring the Sam Maguire back to the capital.

COME ON THE DUBS!!

Trees

We are learning to appreciate and identify trees. We sat in the Serenity Garden for inspiration for writing tree poetry !

School Walk

Conditions were perfect, if a little blustery for our annual school walk today. Each class group left the school at 9.30 a.m. and took a route appropriate to the age level involved. The 5th and 6th classes went to Bushy Park and had some fun in the playground. The 3rd and 4th classes walked up Greenlea Road and came back to school via Lakelands. Ms. Hume congratulated all the classes on their excellent behaviour and she gave us a night off homework !

Pirates!

The girls in Ms. Carney’s 3rd class read a story called “The Masked Pirate” .We painted some pirates of our own. Some of them are very fierce and scary. We even did some glamorous female pirates because we have been learning about Grace O’Malley, the famous Irish pirate.
